Mercedes-Benz Of Coral Gables Hosts Friends Of Gables High
Mercedes-Benz of Coral Gables hosted a special breakfast for 'Friends of Gables High' to educate alumni, community leaders, and residents about the efforts and progress surrounding bringing Coral Gables High School back to a position of academic prominence. More than 40 individuals attended, including former Coral Gables Mayor Don Slesnick, real estate developer Allen Morris, Coral Gables Chamber President Mark Trowbridge, and Coral Gables Community Foundation Executive Director Mary Snow, to demonstrate support for this most important initiative for Coral Gables, its residents, and area businesses.

"This gathering was a wonderful opportunity to get the word out about 'Friends of Gables High' and our fundraising efforts," said Darrell Payne, chair of the organization. "So much progress has been made, with the School Board in the midst of $30 million dollars of renovations, and I know that anyone who visits Coral Gables Senior High will be impressed by the improvements. But, there is still much more to do."
